Description
This First Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver, chambered in .45 Colt with a 4.75-inch barrel, offers a compelling blend of frontier history and collector appeal. Shipped on February 20, 1907, to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. in Chicago, it was one of only 29 revolvers in this configuration per the included Colt factory letter.
The revolver retains its original blue and casehardened finish, though it shows age-consistent wear and patina. Some areas have been cleaned, and the metal bears light pitting, all typical for a well-traveled Colt from the early 20th century. The hard rubber grips, consistent with the era, remain intact and functional. With legible markings and solid mechanical function, this revolver is a worthy addition to any Colt or Old West collection, and it's eligible for Curio & Relic status.
